Thai opposition protesters occupying Bangkok's two main airports say they are prepared to defend themselves against any police operation.
A protest leader at the domestic Don Mueang airport said the demonstrators would "fight to the death".

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is in Cuba for the final stop in a tour of Latin America intended to strengthen Russian influence in the region.
Mr Medvedev and Cuban President Raul Castro are expected to sign deals on nickel mining and oil exploration.
